Your Bobcat's Power Bob-Tach won't lock — the attachment pins aren't extending, the cylinder is leaking, or the quick-attach is slipping under load. The Power Bob-Tach cylinder is the hydraulic muscle that drives the locking pins to secure attachments (buckets, forks, grapples, augers) to the loader arms. When it fails, you can't safely lock attachments — and an unsecured attachment on a skid steer is a serious safety hazard. The Bobcat dealer wants $842.99 for a replacement cylinder. That is an absurd price for a 1.75" bore cylinder.
We sell the direct replacement for $289.00 — saving you over $550 vs the dealer. This is the same specification cylinder: 1.75" bore, 6.22" stroke, 1.0" rod diameter, double-acting welded construction with the correct angled hydraulic port configuration for M-Series loader arms. It drops directly into the existing mounting location and connects to the existing hydraulic lines. Replaces Bobcat part numbers 7365351 (current), 7227463, and 7183318.
This cylinder is designed for Bobcat M-Series and newer loaders (S450, S650, T650, A770, etc.). It does NOT fit older G-Series or K-Series machines like the 753, 773, S185, or S250. Older machines use a completely different Bob-Tach cylinder with different mounting block geometry and port angles. Using the wrong cylinder will result in bolt holes that don't align and hydraulic lines that don't clear the loader arms.
The M-Series Power Bob-Tach cylinder has highly specific angled hydraulic ports. This is not a cosmetic choice — the port angles are engineered so that the hydraulic hoses clear the loader arms through the full range of tilt motion. A cylinder with straight fittings will cause hose interference, kinking, and eventual hose failure during operation. This replacement matches the factory port angles exactly.
The Power Bob-Tach cylinder operates hundreds of times per shift — every attachment change cycles the cylinder under full system pressure. The cylinder is mounted on the loader arms and exposed to the worst conditions on the jobsite: dirt, mud, concrete dust, gravel impacts, and constant vibration. Common failure modes include:
An unsafe Bob-Tach means the attachment can detach from the loader during operation — a bucket or grapple falling off a skid steer is a life-threatening event. This is a safety-critical repair with zero tolerance for delay.
The 7365351 Power Bob-Tach cylinder fits Bobcat M-Series and newer loaders:
⚠️ This cylinder fits M-Series and newer Bobcat loaders ONLY. It does NOT fit G-Series or K-Series machines (753, 773, S185, S250, etc.). Verify your Bobcat part number (7365351, 7227463, or 7183318) in your parts catalog. Contact us with your model and serial number if unsure.
What is the difference between 7365351, 7227463, and 7183318?
These are successive part number revisions for the same M-Series Power Bob-Tach cylinder. 7365351 is the current number; 7227463 and 7183318 are older revisions that it supersedes. They are direct interchanges — this cylinder fits any machine that originally used any of these three numbers.
Can I use this on my older 773 or S250?
No. The 773, S250, and other G-Series / K-Series machines use a completely different Bob-Tach cylinder with different mounting geometry and port angles. Those machines typically use part 7103036 or 6730673. This cylinder will not physically fit older machines.
Why are the ports angled?
The angled ports are engineered for hydraulic hose routing on the M-Series loader arms. As the arms tilt the attachment through its range of motion, the hoses must move without kinking or rubbing against the arm structure. The specific port angles on this cylinder ensure proper hose clearance throughout the full tilt range. A cylinder with straight ports would cause hose interference.
How urgent is a leaking Bob-Tach cylinder?
Very. A leaking or failing Bob-Tach cylinder means the locking pins may not fully extend or may not hold under load. An attachment that isn't fully locked can detach from the loader during operation — a falling bucket or grapple is a serious safety hazard. Do not operate the machine with a known Bob-Tach issue. Replace the cylinder immediately.
Does the machine need two of these?
Typically yes — there is one Power Bob-Tach cylinder on each loader arm (left and right). If one has failed, it's worth inspecting the other. They are usually the same age and have experienced the same operating conditions, so the second cylinder may be near failure as well. We sell these individually so you can replace one or both.
